COUNTERWEIGHT SCREW

1 - Black painted tip.

REFERENCE : 81281.

OBSERVATION :

The Head of the screw is also painted in black. This paint is similar to the reel's one :  the rotor is factory painted with the counterweight already fixe on it.

The tip of the counterweight screw has been painted in black. The paint is different from the 

oven heated reel's one. It seems to have been applied by hand as a factory quality control.

This screw isn't calibrated yet. Different sizes are observed.

2 - Red painted tip.

OBSERVATION :

The Tip of the screw is hand painted in red. (Similar quality control as above).

(observed on early 408 versions an also on 308 an 358).

The head of the screw isn't painted any more. The counterweight and the rotor are painted separately. Traces of counterweight black paint remains under the head of the screw.

3 - Black paint runs.

OBSERVATION :

The tip of the counterweight screw is not painted anymore. However black traces remains under the head of the screw, due to a contact-transfer with the painted counterweight.

OBSERVATION :

The counterweight screw is pererfectly clean, since the counterweight isn't painted anymore.

The entire screw comes in a black finish.

6 - Phillips head.

OBSERVATION :

The original diametral recessed screw head is replaced by a cross-recess one in a black finish tone.
