This version is the first released Gleason cut main gear. It has only been mounted on the first models of Mitchell 358. Never on 408.

OBSERVATION :
Bronze version of the High Speed Gleason cut Main Gear. Wide teeth, hole in the axle shaft, small cotton ball inside the shaft. 13 anti-reverse notches.

OBSERVATION :
The width of the teeth is reduced. The cotton ball is replaced by a foam one.

OBSERVATION :
An illustration shows such a gear in the MITCHELL 408 sky-blue chapter of the James Partridge's Guide (p.134). But this very same picture illustrate the gears of the Garcia Mitchell 408 sky-blue in the same book (p.131). This information is thus questionable.
The use of this gear in a Mitchell 408 sky-blue version seems to be rather anachronistic.

Last Version of a main Gear designed for an Ultra-light Mitchell reel. The Mitchell 308 PRO planamatic was only sold in Japan.
